Orgyen Khamdroling Center
Project
The Orgyen Khamdroling community, with the guidance of Anyen Rinpoche, has kicked off an exciting drive to purchase a Dharma Center. Rinpoche envisions a center in or near Denver, which will serve practitioners with jobs and families in the area, as well as those who visit from out of town. We hope to have space for at least 100 people to gather and practice. The center will also eventually include a library, Tibetan translators’ resources, and dorm rooms for overnight retreats.
Rinpoche has said that having a Dharma center of our own will allow him to offer deeper lineage teachings. Also, it has become pragmatically necessary to have our own space, as more people attend our ongoing activities, like Medicine Buddha Monlam and Shedra.
Opportunities For Generosity
Here’s what we’re doing right now in pursuit of this goal
1. Sangha members have committed to making monthly donations through Direct Deposit. This establishes a regular revenue stream, which will be necessary when we purchase a property. See below if you would like to make monthly donations.
Membership: Generous monthly
donations allow for financial stability and will be
used for a mortgage, maintenance and other ongoing
expenses. With a goal of reaching a minimum of
$3,000 per month, we are asking that individuals
commit to becoming “supporting friends” of our
sangha.
Any monthly amount is welcome and a
contribution of at least $50.00/month will allow for
a 15% discount on programs (this is a significant
savings). To become a supporting friend at any level
of contribution, please follow the instructions on
the
Direct Deposit form.

2. We are fundraising for a down payment. See Eileen’s info below if you would like to make a one-time donation to this fund, or donate on paypal (see link to the right).
Building Fund donations for the future Orgyen
Khamdroling Center. This is our opportunity to build
capital in order to purchase a building for
Rinpoche’s teaching activity. At this time, our goal
is to raise a minimum of $100,000 for a down

Garage sale:
Saturday, May 15, 9-4, at Nancy’s house in Cherry Creek. Details to follow about dropping off donations at her house the week before. Volunteers needed for these jobs: sort and price things Friday afternoon; setup at 7 AM Saturday; staff the garage sale any time between 9 and 4; cleanup; help Will pick up large donations sometime the week before the sale; arrange pickup of leftover stuff by charity. Online Sales:
Maybe you have some books, DVD's or CD's you are finished with, and would like to get rid of?
We are ready to sell used or new books and other items Ebay and Half.com!
Here's how it will work:
1. Contact Sarah at sarahteaguejohnson@gmail.com with information about the items you would like to donate.
2. She will research the item to determine where it would sell best - Ebay, Half.com or possibly at the May garage sale.
3. Sarah will ask for any details needed, complete the listing, and let you know when the item sells and where to ship.
4. Then you can package and ship the item to the lucky buyer, via media mail with delivery confirmation !
So, please let Sarah know if you have books or other items you are interested in donating.
